Iriflophenone 2-O-Rhamnoside, a natural product isolated and purified from the herbs of Macaranga tanarius, can reduce the amount of Immunoglobulin E (IgE) secreted by human myeloma U266 cells, it has potential as an anti-allergic agent, and exhibits significant cytotoxicity against three human tumor cells(A-549 lung carcinoma, MCF-7 breast adenocarcinoma and HT-29 colon adenocarcinoma).
