Ganodermanontrio, a natural product isolated and purified from the fruit body of Ganoderma lucidum, suppresses growth of colon cancer cells through ß-catenin signaling, has hepatoprotective effect against t -BHP-induced oxidative stress in vitro and in vivo, induces in vitro and in vivo anti-inflammatory activity in t -BHP-damaged hepatic cells through the expression of HO-1, is active as anti-HIV-1 agents with an inhibitory concentration of 7.8 mg ml-1 for both, and shows antioxidative activities in a dose dependent manner and a strong anticomplement activity against the classical pathway (CP) of the complement system with IC(50) values of 17.2 mM.
