描述The high-density lipoprotein (HDL) receptor, scavenger receptor, class B, type I (SR-BI), plays an important role in controlling the structure and metabolism of HDL. BLT-1, a thiosemicarbazone copper chelator, is a selective scavenger receptor B, type 1 (SR-BI) inhibitor that inhibits the transfer of lipids between HDL and cells mediated by SR-BI. In ldlA[mSR-BI] cells, BLT-1 had IC₅₀s of 60 and 110 nM for cellular DiI-HDL and [³H]CE-HDL uptake^[2]. BLT-1 inhibited SR-BI-dependent selective uptake of [³H]CE from [³H]CE-HDL by mSR-BI-t1-containing liposomes in cells and liposomes with IC₅₀s of 0.057 and 0.098 µM, respectively^[3].
